Job Description (JD) – Soft Skill Trainer Department: Upskilling & Industry Collaboration Institution: HKBK Group of Institutions (HKBK GI) Position Title: Soft Skill Trainer Employment Type: Full-Time Role Summary The Soft Skill Trainer will play a critical role in preparing students for academic excellence, professional growth, and industry readiness. The faculty will design and deliver structured training programs focusing on Communication, Public Speaking, Confidence Building, Problem-Solving, Design Thinking, and Team Collaboration. The trainer is expected to adopt interactive pedagogies, conduct regular assessments, and mentor students continuously to ensure measurable improvements in employability skills. Key Responsibilities Curriculum Delivery Deliver training modules on Communication Skills, Public Speaking, Confidence Building, Problem-Solving, Design Thinking, and Team Building. Adopt experiential methods including role-plays, case studies, group discussions, and simulations. Ensure completion of module hours (approx. 34 hours per cohort) within stipulated timelines. Continuous Assessment & Growth Tracking · Conduct regular assessments (quizzes, oral presentations, group activities, case-based evaluations) to map continuous student growth. · Maintain detailed student progress records and share periodic reports with the department. · Identify low-performing students and provide remedial support. Mentoring & Employability Readiness · Work closely with students to build confidence, self-awareness, and interpersonal effectiveness. · Provide personalised mentoring and feedback to prepare students for interviews, GDs, and professional networking. · Develop industry-ready competencies aligned with placement expectations. Content Development & Innovation · Develop and update training materials, handouts, and case studies aligned with current industry practices. · Integrate real-world scenarios and corporate practices to improve application-oriented learning. · Introduce innovative activities for each module to enhance engagement. Collaboration & Institutional Alignment · Coordinate with Placement Cell, Faculty, and Industry Partners to align training outcomes with employability goals. · Participate in departmental meetings, strategy sessions, and curriculum design workshops. · Support initiatives such as bootcamps, workshops, and student clubs for skill enhancement. Qualifications & Experience Educational Qualification: · Master’s degree in English, Communication, Psychology, HR, or related fields. · Certification in Soft Skills Training / Corporate Training / NLP / Personality Development preferred. Professional Experience: · Minimum 5+ years of experience in training students or corporate professionals in soft skills. · Proven track record of delivering Communication & Personality Development programs. · Experience in working with higher education institutions or placement-focused training is desirable.
