Position: Training & Placement Manager

Department: Training & Placement Cell

Location: Kingston Educational Institute

Reporting To: Secretary

1. Job Summary

The Training & Placement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective training programs, managing student career development activities, and ensuring strong industry connectivity for student placements. The role requires proactive engagement with companies, corporate leaders, HR managers, and recruitment agencies to create placement opportunities across diverse domains.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Training & Development

  • Design, plan, and conduct training programs such as soft skills, aptitude, communication, resume writing, interview preparation, and domain-specific skill enhancement.
  • Coordinate with internal and external trainers to deliver high-quality training sessions.
  • Assess students training needs through tests, evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Prepare training calendars and ensure timely execution.

B. Placement Activities

  • Build and maintain strong connections with top companies, industry leaders, and HR professionals to generate quality placement opportunities.
  • Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, corporate talks, and internship opportunities.
  • Maintain and expand the corporate database for placement activities.
  • Communicate with companies regarding recruitment schedules, selection processes, and student performance.
  • Track and report placement statistics, student performance, and recruitment outcomes.

C. Industry Connectivity & Corporate Relations

  • Establish MoUs with reputed industries, training partners, and recruiting agencies.
  • Engage with companies through regular visits, corporate meetings, email campaigns, and networking events.
  • Represent the institution in external forums, skill summits, HR conclaves, and industryacademia events.
  • Maintain excellent public relations and showcase institutional strengths to potential recruiters.

D. Student Career Support

  • Guide students in choosing appropriate career paths and enhancing employability skills.
  • Provide one-to-one career counseling sessions.
  • Assist students with internship projects, job applications, and interview preparation.
  • Ensure students maintain discipline, grooming, and readiness for corporate culture.

E. Administrative & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate documentation of training sessions, placement records, MoUs, and recruiter interactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with academic departments, mentors, and the management team for smooth operations.

3. Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong corporate connectivity and established network with HRs and companies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate large-scale placement drives.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, hiring practices, and skill requirements.
  • Strong leadership abilities with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Excel, and digital communication tools.

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Management / HR / Education / Related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Training & Placement or Corporate HR preferred.
  • Proven track record of organizing successful campus placements.
  • Experience in developing training modules is an added advantage.

5. Additional Preferred Qualities

  • Good relationship-building skills with industry leaders.
  • Ability to design innovative placement strategies.
  • Willingness to travel and attend corporate meetings when required.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and student-centric approach.
