Job Description

A Training Development Manager in the automobile industry is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing training programs for employees within an automotive company or dealership. This includes developing training materials, conducting training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. They also play a key role in ensuring employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively and stay up-to-date with industry advancements, particularly in areas like vehicle technology and customer service. Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Development:Creating and updating training manuals, presentations, and other educational materials for various roles, including sales, service, and technical staff.
  • Needs Assessment:Identifying training needs within the organization through assessments, performance reviews, and feedback from employees and managers.
  • Training Delivery:Conducting training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and potentially through online platforms, to deliver knowledge and skills to employees.
  • Evaluation and Improvement:Assessing the impact of training programs through various methods (e.g., testing, feedback surveys) and making adjustments to improve their effectiveness.
  • Staying Current:Keeping up with the latest trends and technologies in the automotive industry to ensure training materials and methods are relevant and up-to-date.
  • Budget Management:Managing the training budget and resources effectively.
  • Supervision:In some cases, overseeing a team of training specialists or instructional designers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and its various functional areas (sales, service, technical).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
  • Proficiency in using various training technologies and platforms.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, human resources, education) is often required, and sometimes a master's degree is preferred, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,405.71 - ₹56,139.37 per month
