Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Train IT Software Architect to lead the design and development of next-generation Passenger Information Systems for public transportation. The ideal candidate will architect solutions that deliver real-time information, enhance passenger experience, and integrate with various transportation systems.

1. Architecture Design & Development
Design scalable and resilient architecture for PIS applications
Create system architecture documentation and technical specifications
Establish architectural guidelines and standards
Ensure high availability and fault-tolerant system design
Develop integration strategies for multiple data sources and systems
2. Technical Leadership
Lead and mentor development teams
Review and approve technical designs and implementations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Hardware etc.)
Drive technical decision-making processes
Ensure compliance with transportation industry standards

Desired Skills:

Bachelor of Engineering degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
Minimum 10-12 years of software development experience.
5+ years of experience in software architecture
Strong background in real-time information systems
Experience with transportation systems (preferred)

RESTful APIs
Database Technologies
SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

International project exposure
Collaboration with global teams
Travel may be required (10-20%) depending upon requirement.
