Trade Trainer For Tool and Die Maker

The Tool & Die Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs related to tool and die making, press operations, and related manufacturing processes. This role focuses on enhancing the skills and knowledge of trainees, apprentices, and employees to meet the organization's manufacturing standards and requirements. The specialist will utilize their extensive hands-on experience in tool and die making, along with their expertise in conventional and CNC machining, to create effective training aids and deliver impactful training sessions.

Responsibilities:

• Training Program Development:

• Derive and define the necessary skills and knowledge required to develop training aids and content related to Tool & Die making trade.
• Develop comprehensive training aids, including practical exercises, demonstrations, and theoretical materials, for skill and knowledge building in tool and die making, press operations, and related areas.

• Training Delivery and Scheduling:

• Schedule and deliver training programs to achieve expected learning outcomes in press operations, tool and die making, and related manufacturing processes.
• Conduct hands-on training sessions utilizing conventional and CNC machines, ensuring practical application of theoretical concepts.
• Provide effective instruction on die repair, proving, and sheet metal operations.

• Apprenticeship Program Management:

• Execute the Apprenticeship training program related to the Tool Maker trade at the Skill Development Center (SDC).
• Monitor and evaluate On the Job training at the plant, ensuring adherence to training standards and objectives.
• Conducting their theory and practical exams of trainees as per schedule.
• Maintaining progress records of trainees.

• Infrastructure and Maintenance:

• Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all training infrastructure, including machines, tools, and training materials, to support qualitative and quantitative training delivery.
• Maintain a safe and organized training workshop environment, adhering to 5S principles and safety standards.
• Promote and enforce safety standards and practices within the training workshop.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.

• Technical Expertise:

• Provide hands-on expertise in tool and die making operations and activities.
• Must be having knowledge of basic workshop activities like filing, number punching, drilling, and hammering. Use of all tools and equipment required for mentioned activities.
• Demonstrate proficiency in press operation, die repair, and proving.
• Operate conventional machines (milling, turning, grinding) and CNC machines with precision.
• Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) in training and practical applications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of manufacturing processes like additive, and casting.
• Having knowledge of design software like Auto cad, Catia,

Qualifications:

• Education and experience:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 6 years of work experience in Tool Making, Jigs & Fixture assembly & maintenance.
• Proven hands-on experience in tool and die making operations.
• Extensive experience in press operation, die repair, and proving.
• Hands-on experience with conventional machines (milling, turning, grinding) and CNC machining.
• Experience in sheet metal operations.
