Designation: Special Needs Teacher/ Child Psychologist As a special needs teacher you would be expected to conduct multiple roles in an inclusive school as well as residence set-up for individuals with special/additional needs; this includes children as well as adults as clients. Roles and Responsibilities: Plan and execute therapy sessions for individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Goal oriented approach at school set-up to achieve independence in behaviour, academics as well as social practices. Establishes and enforces structure and plans (IEP's, ISP's etc ) that ensure the academic engagement, behavioural and cognitive growth of a child in school or home environment.. Planning and executing different activities from holistic developmental approach while conducting home sessions for children on Autism spectrum, specific learning disability, down syndrome, intellectual deficit etc Adapt and modify the general education curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student by creating and implementing specialised instructional strategies and materials. Stay current with best practices in the field of psychology and special education for professional development through on-going training by our team. Provide independence training to adults with special needs and other challenges that impact their ability to succeed and be productive in our society. This includes social skills training, vocational and job related skills training. Collaborate with internal and external teams (e.g. school counselors and speech therapists) to formulate therapy plans and maintain documents. Soft Skills required: Fluency in English Language and communication skills Empathetic ,energetic and passionate towards children The ability to work effectively in a diverse set-up with varied clientele. Educational Qualification required: Masters degree in Clinical/Counseling psychology (preferred) B.Ed Special Education Bachelors in Psychology, home science, human development, sociology or other related fields ECCed or Montessori trained BS.C Work Order: Alternate Saturdays are Off. Sundays are Fixed Off. Timings - 7-8 hours of working per day. Location- Mumbai (Western, Central and Harbour line). Salary: As per the interview and based on experience.
