Trade Control Specialist

Role Overview: As a Trade Control Specialist in the APAC region, your main objective is to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements related to international trade operations. You will be responsible for managing licenses, regulatory reporting, process improvement, and stakeholder training to minimize risks and maintain smooth trade operations. Additionally, you will support the simplification and digitalization of trade control procedures across business units. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with trade control laws and regulations, including maintaining necessary permits. - Manage blocks and effectively resolve trade compliance issues. - Perform Trade Control License Management using SAP GTS. - Provide guidance and training to business units to enhance awareness of compliance requirements and trade procedures. - Support the review and enhancement of Trade Control processes focusing on simplification and digital transformation. - Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities for controlled goods in the Asia-Pacific region. - Actively contribute to the Trade Control Community within the organization. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Natural Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum 12 years of professional experience in trade control or related regulatory compliance roles, with familiarity in supply chain operations preferred. - In-depth understanding of trade control laws and procedures in the APAC region. - Experience with SAP GTS for license management and compliance tasks. - Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills in English. - Ability to work cross-functionally, attention to detail, proactive approach to regulatory challenges, and drive digital transformation initiatives in trade compliance.
