Trade Control Specialist

As a Trade Control Specialist in the APAC region, your main objective is to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements for international trade operations. Your responsibilities will include managing trade control licenses, resolving compliance issues, providing guidance and training to business units, and contributing to the simplification and digitalization of trade control procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure compliance with trade control laws and regulations, including maintaining permits. - Manage blocks and effectively resolve trade compliance issues. - Perform Trade Control License Management in SAP GTS. - Provide guidance and training to enhance awareness of compliance requirements. - Support the review and enhancement of Trade Control processes with a focus on simplification and digital transformation. - Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities for controlled goods in the Asia-Pacific region. - Actively contribute to the Trade Control Community within the organization. Qualifications Required: - Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written). - Strong organizational and analytical skills. - Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively. - High attention to detail and proactive approach to regulatory challenges. - Capability to drive digital transformation initiatives in trade compliance. Education: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Natural Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. Working Experience: - 12+ years of professional experience in trade control or related regulatory compliance roles. - Familiarity with supply chain operations is desirable. Technical & Professional Knowledge: - In-depth understanding of trade control laws and procedures in APAC. - Knowledge of business units portfolio and related compliance risks. - Experience with SAP GTS for license management and compliance tasks. - Strong understanding of IT tools and digital solutions to improve compliance processes.
