Tools Design Engineer

Role Overview: As a Tools Design Engineer at Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), your primary responsibility will be to design and develop tools, create detailed CAD models, and ensure precise mechanical engineering calculations. You will work closely with manufacturing teams to oversee the injection molding process, conduct product design and analysis, and improve tooling efficiency and performance. This is a Contract engagement initially for 11 months, extendable based on performance, and an on-site role located in Hyderabad. Key Responsibilities: - Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM/CAE & CNC (Creo, UG-NX, AutoCAD). - Designing Injection Moulds, Die Casting Dies, Press Tools, Jigs & Fixtures. - Expertise in compound, progressive, and deep drawing press tools. - CAD modeling (mould/sheet metal) & 2D drawings with a preference for Creo. - Proficiency in GD&T, manufacturability & cost analysis. - Assemble, validate & prove out tool designs independently. - Handle tool design & tryout independently. - Coordinate cross-functionally and communicate effectively. - Participate in R&D projects & conceptual tooling/automation designs. Qualifications Required: - Strong skills in Tooling & Product Design. - Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, UG-NX, AutoCAD. - Knowledge of Injection Molding processes. - Mechanical Engineering background with problem-solving ability. - Excellent interpersonal & communication skills. - Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering; Preference for DTDM/NTTF/CIPET with Tooling expertise. - Prior experience in the Tool Design industry is preferred.,
