Tool Costing & Estimation
Prepare cost estimation for tools, fixtures, gauges (FTG), molds, and dies
Evaluate vendor tool quotations, benchmark costs, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve target cost
Analyze tooling feasibility, cycle time, and capacity requirements
Tool & Component Development

Manage end-to-end tooling development process including RFQ floating, vendor selection, PO release, and advance tooling payments

Conduct T0, T1, T2 trials at supplier end and ensure PPAP approvals

Oversee product development through APQP, DFM/DFA, FMEA, and ensure first-time-right component/tool delivery
Vendor Management & Negotiation
Identify and develop vendors for new tools, components, and fixtures
Evaluate supplier capability (quality, cost, and delivery) and manage risk
Finalize tooling agreements, contracts, and ensure compliance with quality standards
Project & Quality Management

Support vehicle programs (LCV, HCV, SCV, BSIV, BSVI) in tooling and component development
- Ensure on-time tooling readiness aligned with project milestones
- Conduct supplier audits, monitor quality standards (PPAP, IATF 16949, ISO 2019)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, R&D, SCM, Manufacturing)
- Apply value engineering for cost optimization without compromising quality
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve process efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for supplier and in-house operations
