TIG Welder

Job Title: TIG WelderDepartment: Production / FabricationReporting To: Production Supervisor / Fabrication In-ChargeJob Summary:The TIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on metal components as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role requires precision, safety awareness, and adherence to production schedules. Key Responsibilities:Perform TIG welding on materials such as stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum, and alloy metals. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Set up welding machines, select appropriate electrodes, filler rods, and gases. Ensure welds meet quality, strength, and dimensional standards. Carry out visual inspection of welds and rectify defects if any. Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in good condition. Follow safety guidelines, PPE usage, and company SOPs at all times. Coordinate with supervisors and quality team to meet production targets. Maintain proper documentation related to welding work if required. Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of TIG welding techniques. Ability to weld thin and precision components. Good understanding of welding parameters and metallurgy basics. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and in a team. Qualification & Experience:ITI / Diploma in Welding or relevant trade preferred. Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication industry. Experience in precision tools / machine components is an added advantage.
