Key Responsibilities (Rack Manufacturing) Weld sheet‑metal parts, tubes, angles, brackets and uprights used in rack frames using TIG (and basic MIG, if required) as per drawings and WPS. Use jigs, fixtures and templates to assemble and tack complete rack sub‑assemblies (frames, cross members, supports) before final welding, maintaining squareness and dimensions. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, rack GA/part drawings and welding symbols for hole positions, bends, and joint details. Prepare joints by cleaning, grinding, deburring, aligning and clamping parts to avoid distortion and rework. Check weld quality and dimensions of rack assemblies using measuring tape, squares, gauges and go/no‑go templates; ensure assemblies fit with powder‑coating and final assembly lines. Work closely with press‑shop, laser/CNC, bending and powder‑coating teams to meet daily production targets and reduce rejections of racks. Follow 5S and safety practices in welding area, proper handling of gas cylinders, cables and welding machines.
