Role & responsibilities Immediate Requirement 1.Design Creation and Development Develop original and innovative textile designs and patterns for various applications, ensuring high aesthetic and functional standards. Translate design concepts from initial ideas to final execution, aligning with client requirements and brand identity. 2. Collaboration with Design and Production Teams Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product designers and production staff, to refine designs and ensure feasibility for production. Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative environment. 3. Client Interaction and Customization Engage with clients to understand their vision and requirements, tailoring designs to meet their needs and preferences. Present design concepts to clients and incorporate feedback into the final product. 4. Artwork Preparation and Refinement Utilize design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create and modify digital artworks for textiles, ensuring high-resolution, print-ready files. Maintain consistent design quality across all formats and outputs, adhering to project specifications and client expectations. 5. Trend Research and Innovation Stay updated on industry trends, design movements, and emerging techniques in textile design. Incorporate contemporary trends and innovative concepts into design work to keep the portfolio fresh and relevant. 6. Quality Control and Brand Consistency Ensure all design outputs meet high-quality standards and are consistent with the brands aesthetic guidelines. Review and approve designs for production, ensuring all technical and artistic requirements are met. 7. Project Management Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting deadlines. Professional Development and Learning Continuously improve personal design skills and knowledge of software tools to stay competitive in the field. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor's or Masters degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field. 4+ years of relevant experience in textile or surface pattern design, preferably in home dcor or interior textiles. Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Proven ability to lead design projects from concept to completion. Solid understanding of textile printing techniques, materials, and production processes. Excellent sense of color, texture, pattern, and composition. Strong trend awareness and ability to translate global trends into commercial designs. Exceptional communication and presentation skills for client and team interactions. Experience mentoring junior designers and managing design teams is a plus. Ability to multitask and manage deadlines across multiple projects.
