Job Title: Testing & Validation Engineer (Lithium-Ion Batteries)

Reports To: R&D Manager

Summary:

As a Testing & Validation Engineer, you'll ensure the safety, performance, and regulatory compliance of our lithium-ion battery packs. This involves comprehensive testing, data analysis, and compliance with IEC, UL & UN standards. Your work is critical to our success in the Battery industry.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop & execute thorough test plans based on IEC, UL and UN standards.

· Perform electrical, environmental, safety, and abuse tests on battery packs.

· Analyse test data to assess performance and identify issues.

· Prepare detailed test reports and recommendations for improvement.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and performance standards.

· Collaborate with design engineers to enhance battery pack design.

· Stay up-to-date with evolving regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.

· 3+ years of experience in testing and validating lithium-ion batteries.

· Proven ability to develop and execute test plans for components of battery pack like Cells, BMS, Connectors, Fuses, nickel strip, bus bars etc.

· In-depth knowledge of IEC standards (62133, 62619, 62620), UN & UL standards

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Experience in ESS Lithium Battery Pack Industry will be preferred.

Desired Skills:

· Experience with battery pack design and development.

· Experience with PCAN and similar tools, J1939 protocol.

· Familiarity with HPPC Test, DCIR Test and other relevant test on cell level.

· Experience with component level analysis of BMS like MOSFETs, CONTACTORS etc.

· Experience in thermal analysis of battery, Cells, and BMS.

· Experience in analysis of components like thermal pad, PCM, Potting materials.

· Experience and in validation of material purity.

· Knowledge of UN 38.3 (transportation of dangerous goods), UL, IEC standards.

· Familiarity with ESS, electric vehicle, or battery manufacturing.

· Familiarity with instruments like CRO, DATA LOGGER, CELL CYCLERS etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
