Join a hands-on testing team and lead validation of reciprocating and geared compressors from prototype to production. You plan and run performance, reliability, and durability tests, keep equipment calibrated, and troubleshoot issues in real time. You dive into data, turn results into clear reports, and recommend design improvements that partners in design and manufacturing can act on. You drive root cause analyses on failures, refine test methods and best practices, and support technicians and junior engineers with clear, practical guidance.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans for reciprocating and geared compressors.
- Conduct performance, reliability, and durability testing on compressor prototypes and production units.
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports on findings, including recommendations for design improvements.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure test requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Maintain testing equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Participate in root cause analysis for any failures observed during testing.
- Support the development of testing methodologies and best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in testing and validation of compressors, preferably reciprocating and geared types.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and testing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to compressor testing.
