Job Summary:

Software Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  
• Perform manual and/or automated testing of web, mobile, desktop, or backend applications.
  
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.
  
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  
• Perform regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
  
• Maintain and enhance test automation scripts (if applicable).
  
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  
• Generate test reports and provide metrics on test execution and defect resolution.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of SQL and ability to validate data through queries.
  
• Good understanding of API testing and tools like REST Assured or Postman (if applicable).
  
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
