Job Description

As a Test Engineer II at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in the Surgical Robotics Testing Services team. Your responsibilities will include verification and reliability testing of surgical instruments, supporting test method development, data collection and analysis, as well as troubleshooting failure modes. You will have the opportunity to work on reliability testing of components of the Hugo surgical robotic system and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and monitor reliability tests for complex electro-mechanical components. Your strong communication skills will be essential as you interact with team members to communicate test-related activities, results, and issues. To excel in this role, you must have demonstrated experience in product testing, test equipment, analysis methodologies, and test documentation. A solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and hands-on mechanical skills are required. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word, is necessary. Having experience in medical device product development or equivalent will be advantageous. Strong problem-solving abilities, familiarity with statistical analysis tools like Minitab, and the ability to prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment are desirable traits. An educational background in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is a must. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to pushing the limits of technology and services to improve patient outcomes.
