Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Sales Target Achievement: Meeting or exceeding sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Product Promotion: Implementing promotional activities and trade marketing strategies to drive sales.
  • Product Availability and Visibility: Ensuring products are adequately stocked and displayed in retail outlets.
  • Reporting: Preparing regular sales reports, forecasts, and other relevant documentation.
  • Customer Feedback: Providing feedback to the product development team on market trends and customer preferences.
  • Problem Solving: Addressing any issues that may arise with customers, products, or distribution.

Channel Management: Managing and optimizing distribution channels within the territory.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Sales Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data and identify trends.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to understand and meet customer needs.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to work towards achieving sales targets and other objectives.
  • Product Knowledge: Understanding of the company's products and services.

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is often preferred.
