Technology Specialist (FinOps Specialist)

• Lead FinOps strategy and execution for AWS and multi-cloud environments.
• Analyze monthly cloud spend, identify trends, and implement cost optimization initiatives.
• Partner with business units, finance teams, and technical stakeholders to align cloud usage with budgetary goals.
• Develop business cases for Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cost avoidance strategies.
• Monitor cloud consumption, detect anomalies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide executive-level reporting on cloud financial health and optimization progress.
• Drive adoption of FinOps best practices and tools across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage FinOps frameworks for AWS (and optionally Azure/GCP) End to end .
• Perform detailed cost analysis using AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, and third-party FinOps tools.
• Recommend RI/Savings Plan purchases and validate ROI.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize resource utilization.
• Establish governance policies for tagging, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Conduct Monthly reviews with stakeholders on cost trends and optimization opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications

• BE -Bachelor s in computer, IT, or related field; Master s preferred.
• 10-12 years overall IT experience, with 5+ years in FinOps and cloud cost management.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services, pricing models, and billing tools.
• Hands-on experience handing the FinOps activity E2E and need to take it closer
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cost Explorer, CUR, and RI/Savings Plan strategies.
• Familiarity with Azure and GCP cost management (added advantage).
• Data-driven decision-making and strong financial modeling capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Cloud Practitioner
• FinOps Certified Practitioner
• Azure or GCP certifications (optional but desirable)
