Job Description

We're Hiring: Technology Associate-HPC

High-Performance Computing (HPC) Administrator


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor Linux-based HPC clusters
  • Manage job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, LSF) and queue systems
  • Optimize system and application performance
  • Install and maintain HPC software, compilers, libraries, and tools
  • Support users with job scripting, resource usage, and debugging
  • Maintain security, user access, and resource policies
  • Document and automate system management tasks (e.g., via Ansible or scripts)
  • Collaborate with research and technical teams on computational needs


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing HPC or large Linux clusters
  • Strong Linux system administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Rocky)
  • Familiar with Slurm, MPI/OpenMP, and parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre, BeeGFS)
  • Scripting experience (Bash, Python)
  • Understanding of high-speed networking (e.g., InfiniBand)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills


Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud-based HPC (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of container tools (Singularity, Docker)
  • Familiarity with scientific computing environments
  • Certifications (RHCE, Linux+, etc.)
