Job Description

Your Contribution

Design standardized Azure infrastructure architectures (IaaS PaaS).

Design architecture regarding landing zones, subscriptions, and RBAC models.

Establish FinOps best practice for cost optimization, reporting, and budgeting.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and operational reliability of the Azure platform.

Provide designs enabling automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).

Define and publish architectural reference designs to be used as global standards in MAHLE IT.

Establish guardrails to ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.

Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure and platform architecture and act as point of contact for related topics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture strategies aligned with business goals.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operative teams on Azure services and cloud-native design patterns.

Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements in cloud solutions.

As a Technology Architect, you will design and govern the cloud infrastructure landscape with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure (landing zones, subscriptions, RBAC models etc.).

Beyond architecture, you provide guardrails for operations and enable FinOps practices to ensure transparency and efficiency.

You will be a trusted advisor for both IT and business stakeholders, shaping the technical foundation of MAHLE cloud strategy.

Your Experience and Qualification

Proven senior-level expertise

Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, security).

Several years of Experience with cloud governance frameworks and Azure Landing Zones.

Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation concepts.

Experience in establishing cloud native and hybrid architectures.

Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and analytical thinking

Fluent in both written and spoken English

Proficiency in cloud architecture frameworks and methodologies

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly (on C-level).

Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Understanding of architectural framework (TOGAF, IAF, Zachmann) (certification will be treated as an advantage)

Awareness of ITIL or similar framework (certificate as a plus)

Certified or proven knowledge on the level of
AZ-305
(certification will be treated as an advantage)

Complementary certifications like
AZ-104
or
AZ-500
will be seen as an advantage

Minimum Requirements

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).

Knowledge of containerized workloads and Kubernetes (AKS).

Knowledge of FinOps and cost management best practices.

Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems.

Knowledge of security frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud).
