JOB DESCRIPTION & COMPETENCY HR / JD / Revised on : Rev No.: Prepared On: POSITION : Electrician REPORTING TO : Manager Maintenance and Engineering QUALIFICATION : ITI Electrical / Dip Electrical EXPERIENCE : 2-7 years in Hardcore Electrical Maintenance only AGE : 23-28 Years COMPETENCIES A) Functional Competencies 1. He should have exposure of working in continuous process industry preferably in food industry 2. He should have sound knowledge in electrical components of Compressor, Motor, Drives, Bearing & Pump, PLC, Automation, Transformer, Generator, RO plant and ETP, its component and its maintenance. 3. He should have knowledge of Preventive maintenance, benefits of preventive maintenance and various types of predictive maintenance methodologies like vibration analysis, thermography, NDT etc 4. He should have basic knowledge in computer applications like MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel) B) Behavioral Competencies 1. Analytical and decision making skill 2. Communication & Presentation 3. Team Work JOB DESCRIPTION JOB OBJECTIVE : To carry out electrical & controls maintenance to all areas of the factory, keeping equipment running at optimum efficiency with minimum costs. Undertake maintenance that minimizes downtime & follow up to prevent reoccurrence. 1 Planned maintenance 1.1 Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment, applications, device, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. 1.2 Carry out follow up work as scheduled on CMMS. 1.3 Monitor feedback of motors & instrumentation on SCADA system. 1.4 Carry out routine adjustments to prolong equipment life 1.5 Communicate with operators to establish early equipment failure. 1.6 Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance 1.7 Recommend AM(Maintenance) on electrical machinery condition inspection points as part of start-up activities during new projects 1.8 Be part of predictive maintenance team for thermographic analysis etc McCain Foods India Private Limited - MEHSANA JOB DESCRIPTION & COMPETENCY HR / JD / Revised on : Rev No.: Prepared On: 2 Breakdown maintenance 2.1 Diagnose malfunctioning systems, device, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. 2.2 Feedback to executive any follow-up required 2.3 Communicate with production operators on time scale of stoppage & any assistance that is required 2.4 Assist AM (Maintenance) in standardization and / or localization of spares and equipment. 2.5 Recommend materials to be absorbed in stores inventory. 2.6 Check quality of delivered spares required to complete maintenance in Time 3 Engineering Improvements 1. Propose improvements to increase efficiencies/ improve safety standards or assist production 2. Carry out approved improvements 3. Be part of start-up teams in engineering projects as required 4 Safety 1. Undertake all maintenance tasks especially electrical safely with appropriate PPE & procedures 2. Adhere to safe working practices such as working at height regulations like all equipment / motor covers are fitted securely 3. Ensure equipment is correctly isolated (LOTO procedures) when maintenance is carried out 4. No loose wires or electrical panels are open to the environment 5. All floors are kept dry to minimize slips 6. Identify & report any unsafe working conditions/ machine faults 7. Propose plant improvements in terms of safety and carry out the same once approved 8. Carry out regular safety inspections of working areas 5 General Maintenance 1. Keep electrical bay / workshop tidy & ready for repairs 2. Test motor/ electrical components for stores to confirm operation. 3. Carry out repairs to parts removed if required & return to stores 4. Assist with mechanical tasks as required 5. Perform any other reasonable work related tasks as instructed by AM (Maintenance)
