Technical Writer

• Content Creation: Writing and editing a variety of documents such as user manuals, how-to guides, installation instructions, API documentation, release notes, training materials, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Research & Information Gathering: Collaborating with developers, engineers, product managers, and other technical specialists to gain an in-depth understanding of the product or subject matter.
• Audience Analysis: Determining the information needs of the end-users and tailoring the tone, style, and complexity of the documentation accordingly.
• Editing & Proofreading: Ensuring all content is accurate, grammatically correct, consistent, and adheres to established style guides and industry standards.
• Information Design: Organizing and structuring content logically, often using diagrams, charts, illustrations, or videos to enhance comprehension.
• Content Management: Maintaining and updating a library of technical documentation, which may involve using content management systems (CMS) or documentation build systems.
• Usability Testing & Feedback: Testing documentation with users or gathering feedback to update and improve the clarity and effectiveness of the materials.
