This role is based in Bangalore, India.

How will you make an impact

As a Technical Writer, this role will develop comprehensive and high-quality user documentation for analytical instrument software products. The role also requires collaborating with multiple teams to understand the documentation requirements and disseminate technical information in a clear and concise manner for a non-technical audience.

What will you do

• Develop topic-based software documentation for analytical instruments.

• Collaborate with subject-matter experts and technical staff to capture information and identify documentation needs.

• Participate in the peer review process to ensure the accuracy and quality of the documentation.

• Follow established style guides and maintain consistency in writing style and formatting.

• Create visual elements, such as illustrations, animations, or videos, for technical documentation.

How will you get here

Qualifications:

• Education in science or in a related field, such as Chemistry or Biochemistry, or suitable experience in those fields

• 2 to 5 years of technical writing experience or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in XML-based authoring tools (e.g., Oxygen, XMetaL, etc. ) and content management systems (e.g., Tridion Docs, Schema ST4, etc.)

• Familiarity with graphics tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and SnagIt

• Must be highly organized and pay attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Darwin Information Type Architecture (DITA) and modern content management systems

• Experience of or knowledge in chromatography and mass spectrometry

• Experience with video production tools such as Captivate, Storyline, or Camtasia

• Understanding of SDLC and software development practices (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
