Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Content Writer to create continuing education (CEU) materials for US-credentialed architects and designers. This role requires clear, accurate, and engaging writing that communicates complex building-science concepts, codes, and standards to professional audiences. The ideal candidate has experience with U.S. building codes and is comfortable producing highly structured educational and technical content.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, develop, and write CEU content for architecture and design professionals.
  • Translate technical information into accessible and professional learning materials.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. standards such as ADA, IBC, ICC, and other relevant codes.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to validate content accuracy.
  • Edit and proofread materials to maintain clarity, consistency, and professional tone.
  • Stay up to date with industry codes, standards, and trends in the AEC space.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience developing AIA-accredited CEU courses or similar technical educational materials.
  • Strong background in technical writing within the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) sector.
  • Excellent command of written English and technical communication.
  • Familiarity with U.S. building codes and standards (ADA, IBC, ICC, NFPA, etc.).
  • Ability to conduct deep research and synthesize complex information into structured content.
  • Comfortable working remotely and meeting deadlines independently.
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with designers who transform written material into presentations and videos.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Degree or background in architecture, engineering, or construction.
  • Experience writing for U.S.-based AEC audiences or working with AIA course providers.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles or instructional design for professional education.
