Job Description

Department:

Role Summary:

Responsible for Mechanical System Design and Engineering for HVAC Projects, including overall technical coordination, system design, documentation, site support, and guiding junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Design

Perform Basic and Detailed Engineering for HVAC mechanical systems.
Prepare system P&ID and equipment technical data sheets.
Review and guide piping and ducting layouts.
Prepare detailed BOQ for HVAC systems.
Carry out heat load calculations, design calculations, and specify equipment requirements.

Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate technically with suppliers, customers, consultants, and internal teams.
Prepare purchase requisitions.
Manage BOQ variations as per customer or site changes.
Participate in process improvement and standardization activities.

Site & Commissioning Support

Travel to site as required for review or approval meetings.
Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and handing-over.
Awareness of site installation requirements and commissioning activities.

Leadership & Training

Guide and train subordinate engineers to improve technical knowledge and system design capability.
Independently handle all technical activities effectively.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of HVAC/MEP design and project engineering.
Proficiency in ACAD; exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Innovative thinking and an optimization-driven approach.
Awareness of costing and optimum design considerations.
Knowledge of relevant HVAC standards (ASHRAE/ISHRAE).
Exposure to electrical engineering and commissioning processes is desirable.
