Job Summary:

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our IT team. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience in hardware/software support, and the ability to provide technical assistance to end users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L1 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications.
• Manage user accounts, email configurations, and system permissions.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining IT infrastructure, including LAN/WiFi networks.
• Provide remote and on-site support to end users.
• Document technical issues and solutions for future reference.
• Coordinate with vendors and higher-level IT teams for escalations.
• Ensure data security and backup protocols are followed.
• Support new employee onboarding by setting up systems and access.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11), MS Office, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote troubleshooting tools.
• Good understanding of antivirus, security policies, and system updates.
• Ability to diagnose and fix hardware/software issues efficiently.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN setup is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and customer-oriented approach.
• Strong communication skills to assist non-technical users effectively.

Preferred Certifications:

• CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or any relevant IT support certification is a plus.
