Job Description

As a Technical Sales Engineer at MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, providing technical expertise, managing customer relationships, collaborating cross-functionally, monitoring market intelligence, supporting product trials, and maintaining accurate reporting and forecasting. Your responsibilities will include: - Drive Sales Growth: Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories and industries. - Provide Technical Expertise: Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate chemical products and solutions. - Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with R&D, product management, and supply chain teams to deliver tailored solutions. - Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategy. - Support Product Trials: Assist in product demonstrations, trials, and troubleshooting at customer sites. - Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and provide regular forecasts and performance reports. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field. - Experience: 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within the chemical or manufacturing industry. - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. - Strong understanding of chemical formulations and industrial applications. - Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally or internationally as needed. - Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Key competencies needed for this role: - Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and explain complex chemical products and processes. - Sales & Negotiation Skills: Strong commercial instincts and ability to close deals effectively. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences. - Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to solving customer challenges. - Customer Focus: Deep commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs. - Teamwork: Collaborative spirit and ability to work across departments and cultures. - Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving global environment.
