Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Senior Engineering Manager who will play a pivotal role in leading and growing our engineering teams. This individual will oversee the delivery of high-impact systems and products, from concept to completion, while managing a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of system design, strong technical expertise in modern technologies, and the ability to inspire, mentor, and lead a diverse engineering team. Experience with Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, Cloud platforms, and AI/ML technologies is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and People Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Manage the career growth, performance, and development of team members. Foster a high-performance, agile, and inclusive environment. Provide guidance on technical and operational challenges to engineers, helping them grow both technically and professionally. Delivery Management: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of engineering projects, ensuring timely and high-quality releases. Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to align on project goals, timelines, and requirements. Ensure that projects are executed in line with agile methodologies, balancing speed with technical excellence. Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, monitoring key metrics, and mitigating risks. System Design and Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. Collaborate with other senior technical leaders to establish best practices and ensure that system design meets business needs and technical requirements. Ensure that systems are designed with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and security. Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical leadership in areas such as Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and AI/ML. Ensure that the engineering team is aligned with the latest technology trends, tools, and practices. Assist in solving complex technical challenges and drive technical decision-making. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure that engineering efforts align with the companys strategic objectives. Communicate engineering progress, challenges, and risks to senior leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications: Experience: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years in an engineering management or leadership role. Proven experience in delivering complex systems and projects in fast-paced, agile environments. Strong experience with system design and architecture for scalable, cloud-based solutions. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Node.js, React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying scalable applications. Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and how they integrate with cloud services. Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version control. People Skills: Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to lead by example and motivate teams toward achieving engineering excellence.
