As a Technical Program Manager at Google, your role involves leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish using your technical expertise. You will collaborate with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and effectively communicate with cross-functional partners across the company. Your responsibilities include explaining analyses and recommendations to executives and discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers. Google aims to create a diverse and inclusive work environment where employees can grow and contribute positively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead complex analytics initiatives by identifying critical problems, proposing solutions, and driving them to fruition. - Build credibility with stakeholders by being a strategic thought partner and advocating for data-driven insights. - Simplify complex business questions with impactful visualizations and frameworks, leveraging AI for advanced insights. - Guide engineering and data infrastructure efforts and provide mentorship to improve data quality, tools, and methodologies. - Solve technically and organizationally complex challenges with strong quantitative and leadership skills. - Develop cross-domain business metrics and dashboards for leadership to provide insights, trend analyses, and strategic indicators. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - 5 years of experience in program management. - Experience in strategy, stakeholder management, change management, working cross-functionally, and developing narratives. **Preferred Qualifications:** - 10 years of experience using analytics and data science to solve product or business problems in a program or engineering management role. - 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. - Experience establishing methods, tools, and process improvements with expertise in organizational change management. - Excellent business acumen and investigative skills with the ability to identify and frame complex business problems for data-driven solutions. - Interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis, and trends with applied knowledge of measurement, statistics, and program evaluation.
