Technical Manager - JAVA

Roles & Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

• Lead a product software development team of 715 developers for end-to-end development and deployment of software features and bug fixes.
• Mentor software developers, identify technical gaps, and build technical capability within the team.
• Involve in hiring and building a strong technical taskforce.
• Provide guidance on problem-solving, debugging, and ensuring timely delivery of team deliverables.

Product & Technical Ownership:

• Understand and learn the product domain and software to provide effective technical mentorship.
• Define functional specifications, design specifications, implementation plans, and verification strategies.
• Ensure software quality across all deliverables and maintain adherence to the software development lifecycle.
• Work in a matrix organization, interfacing with multiple stakeholders across disciplines.

Project Planning & Execution:

• Plan, track, and manage deliverables for multiple software projects.
• Support organizational initiatives and address generic technical issues.
• Communicate significant issues or developments timely to relevant stakeholders.

Technical Expertise:

• Be proficient in software development, programming, and Agile development methodologies.
• Contribute significantly in a techno-managerial capacity with hands-on coding when required.
• Work on scalable products with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS), Unix/Linux environments, and databases like MySQL.
• Work with Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Redis, and DevOps tools like Jenkins. Experience in machine learning products is an added advantage.

Stakeholder Interaction:

• Collaborate effectively with end users, product teams, and application engineering teams.
• Influence stakeholders through strong communication skills and technical expertise.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Lead/management role experience with 610 years in software development, architecture, coding, bug fixing, and CI/CD releases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with scalable products, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and modern software technologies.
• Exposure to machine learning or AI-based product development is a plus.
