Job Description

MySQL
4+ years of hands-on production experience as a MySQL DBA. Experience as an Oracle DBA with substantial MySQL exposure will also be considered.
Strong experience with MySQL 8.x, Percona Server, or MariaDB and associated ecosystem tools.
Proven background with backup/restore, PITR, replication, clustering and high-availability architectures.
Deep knowledge of InnoDB internals, indexing, query optimization and performance tuning. Practical experience with native MySQL backup, Percona XtraBackup, mysqldump, MySQL shell toolkit
Knowledge in infrastructure such as Unix/Linux/Solaris operating systems, Network, Storage, Compute.
Experience in automating regular maintenance tasks.
Experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and common infrastructure technologies (Network, Storage).
Knowledge of tools like Jira and Git is required.
Experience with any automation tool like Ansible or Puppet is required.
1-2 years of experience with the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform is considered an advantage.
Experience with database monitoring and observability (Prometheus/Grafana, PMM, Datadog).
Solid troubleshooting skills for database and related stack components.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to produce technical documentation and runbooks.
Very Proactive, service-oriented team player with a strong ownership mentality.
Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and mentoring junior DBAs.
Curious mindset with drive to learn new technologies and improve processes: service management, analysis, design, development, building, testing, and maintaining services.
