Senior SAP ABAP Developer (7+ years experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement

  ABAP programs, reports, forms (SmartForms/Adobe), and enhancements

  .
• Create and maintain

  RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancement Frameworks

  .
• Work on

  interfaces (IDOC, ALE, OData, Web services)

  for integration with other systems.
• Optimize

  existing ABAP programs

  for performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with functional consultants (MM, SD, FICO, HR, etc.) to provide technical solutions.
• Perform

  code reviews, debugging, and root cause analysis

  for production issues.
• Prepare and maintain

  technical documentation

  .
• Ensure

  compliance with SAP coding standards and best practices

  .
• Mentor junior developers and provide

  knowledge-sharing sessions

  .

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, and Performance Tuning

  .
• Expertise in

  Reports, Module Pool, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and Enhancements

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  SmartForms, SAP Scripts, and Adobe Forms

  .
• Good exposure to

  IDOC, ALE, OData, RFC, and Web services

  .
• Experience working across multiple SAP modules (MM, SD, FICO, HR).
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with

  SAP HANA, CDS Views, and AMDP

  .
• Knowledge of

  Fiori/UI5 integration with ABAP services

  .
• Familiarity with

  SAP Solution Manager, Change Management, and CTS+

  .
• Exposure to

  retail industry-specific SAP processes
