Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the review and submission of CVs to the Client as part of any proposals.
  • Be the focal point for the Client for contracts where there is a requirement for a Technical Coordinator.
  • Take full responsibility for the final review, approval and submission of any Field Inspection Reports (post nontechnical Coordinator review).
  • Respond to and follow up on Inquiries, Customer Clarifications and Complaints as outlined in company procedures or as directed by the Vendor Inspection Manager.
  • Technical Coordinator to ensure that the Project Execution Plan is fully adhered to in addition to the IMS Procedures.


Requirements

  • For certain contracts a Technical Coordinator is contractually required. This will be ascertained at the Contract Kick-off Meeting and the Vendor Inspection Manager will assign a designated Technical Coordinator to that contract.
  • The Technical Co-ordinator shall have a background in the relevant generic discipline of the equipment being inspected (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation, Wells etc).
  • The Technical Coordinator shall have been in an engineering environment for a minimum period of 7 years, with at least 3 of those years related to inspection and quality assurance. He/she should preferably have a degree, HND or equivalent.
  • The Technical Coordinator shall have relevant knowledge of the technology used for manufacture and the defects that may occur during use or service of the products to be inspected, and be familiar with inspection methods, codes, standards and procedures. He/she should understand the significance of deviations of any product.
  • The Technical Coordinator shall be able to read and interpret technical drawings and quality control plans necessary for each equipment type. He/she shall have an appreciation of NDT methods and procedures.
  • The Technical Coordinator must have a strong practical appreciation of and have a good understanding of the requirements of ISO/IEC 9001 and relevant codes of practice relating to the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Have the ability to accurately assess the competence of a field inspector.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
