The Role
As a Technical Consultant (Veeva Safety), you will be a member of the Veeva Systems Professional Services group working on providing consulting and technical architecture design on project teams implementing Veeva Safety application and Vault Platform cloud solutions to companies in the life sciences industry’s Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance domain.You will guide customer implementations by providing expertise with solution architecture design, technical integration design, and Vault Platform best practices. You will be a customer advocate working closely with other Veeva teams (Services, Product, Sales, Strategy) to ensure customer success today and in the future. You will represent Veeva’s Global Technical Services across multiple engagements and workstreams.This is a remote, full-time, permanent role with Veeva. This is a customer-facing role, and we have no work location requirement as long as you are in close proximity to an airport and are able to meet future travel requirements. Short visits to customer sites in India are very likely.Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in India. Veeva does not provide sponsorship for employment visas for this position.
What You’ll Do
- Extend application capabilities through Java-based solutions using the Vault Java SDK
- Design and implement cloud-based integrations using REST APIs
- Provide subject matter expertise on Drug Safety and Pharmacovigilance for customers and project teams
- Represent Global Technical Services across multiple engagements and workstreams (e.g. solution design, data migration, systems integration, etc.)
- Provide subject matter expertise on the Veeva Safety application, Vault Platform, and technical design
- Gather customer functional and technical requirements to support business processes; translate requirements into technical design
- Help to keep up to date and implement new features within the Veeva Safety suite
Requirements
- Knowledge and work experience in the Life Sciences industry in the Drug Safety and/or Pharmacovigilance area
- Ability to understand functional / business needs & provide technical solutions that can be developed / integrated with Safety systems
- 3+ years of technical development experience and knowledge of technical architecture & data models of Safety systems like Argus / Aris / LSMV
- 3+ years of development experience in Software Development Life Cycle using Java, SQL and building solutions & interfaces using REST APIs
- 3+ years of customer-facing technical consulting experience
- Familiarity and programming experience with AWS cloud platform
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Development experience with Veeva Vault SDK
- Proven track record supporting high-impact global system implementation programs as a consultant or IT lead
