Technical Artist

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Technical Artist to join our team. As a Technical Artist, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between art and programming, ensuring the seamless integration of assets and animations into our game engine. Your responsibilities will include optimizing assets and animations for performance while maintaining quality, developing and maintaining efficient workflows for asset integration, creating custom shaders and visual effects for 2D games, monitoring and optimizing asset performance, addressing technical challenges, collaborating with team members, developing tools to streamline asset creation, and staying updated with industry trends and techniques. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a passion for both art and technology. Key Responsibilities: - Optimize 2D assets for performance and integrate them into the game engine. - Develop and maintain efficient workflows for asset integration and batch processes. - Create custom shaders and visual effects for 2D games. - Monitor and optimize 2D asset performance. - Address art and animation integration challenges and debugging issues. - Collaborate with game designers, artists, and programmers. - Develop tools to streamline asset creation. - Create and maintain documentation for art and technical pipelines. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and apply them to the project. Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in 2D game development. - Experience with Unity or Cocos2d game engines. - Strong knowledge of asset optimization techniques. - Experience with 2D particles, shaders, and animation tools. - Proficiency in 2D art creation tools. - Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and provide solutions. - Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Experience working on mobile or web-based 2D games. - Familiarity with performance profiling tools and version control systems.
