Technical Architect / Sr Technical Architect - ADF, SQL, BI, Fabric

Primary Skills (Must have hands on experience):

• Recent 8+ years of experience working with Azure Data Engineering solutions including ADF, Synapse, and orchestration of end-to-end data pipelines. 8+projects
• 7+ years of experience in defining architecture blueprints for scalable data & analytics solutions, including cloud data platforms.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks, atleast 4 project
• 8+ years translating business requirements into technical specifications and delivering end-to-end BI and data solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in Power BI
• Around 1 year experience in Fabric DE
• Leverage Generative AI tools and Copilots (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Fabric Copilot, M365 Copilot) to accelerate code development, enhance data insights, and streamline documentation.
• Applied Gen AI capabilities in tasks such as pipeline generation, documentation automation.
• Successfully led multiple Data Modernization initiatives leveraging Azure and Databricks.

Role & responsibilities

Key technical skills :

Customer & Architecture:

• Proven experience collaborating with Business & IT teams on requirement gathering and solution design.
• Extensive experience preparing architecture blueprints for modern , scalable data and analytics platforms
• Independently created HLDs and LLDs for BI and data engineering solutions including data models, pipelines, and reporting layers.

Azure Data Engineering / Databricks / Modelling:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Data Engineering services including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake Storage for building robust and scalable data pipelines.
• 4+ years of experience with Databricks, developing ELT pipelines, notebooks using PySpark, and machine learning-based transformations across large-scale distributed datasets.
• Strong expertise in implementing the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) to standardize data flow, ensure data quality, and enable efficient downstream analytics.
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and governance frameworks for Azure-based data engineering solutions.

Microsoft Fabric:

• Worked with DirectLake, OneLake, and Lakehouses in Fabric
• Built and orchestrated end-to-end data pipelines using Fabric Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks
• Good to have experience working with Fabric Copilots

Power BI:

• Experience in Power BI Pro, Premium use of DAX, Power Query, and M language
• Experience with Dataflows, Incremental Refresh

• Practical experience leveraging Generative AI tools and Copilots (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Fabric Copilot, M365 Copilot) to accelerate code development, enhance data insights, and streamline documentation.
• Applied Gen AI capabilities in tasks such as pipeline generation, DAX and SQL authoring, metadata extraction, and documentation automation.
• Successfully led multiple Data Modernization initiatives leveraging Azure and Databricks.
