Tech Control Testing Lead

As a Tech Control Testing Lead at Barclays, you will be a crucial part of the CCO Controls Testing Risk and Control team, ensuring the bank's strategic risk mitigation through data-led testing of technology implementation solutions. Your role will involve liaising between the business, technology, and security functions to maintain information confidentiality, integrity, and availability, as well as supporting the mitigation of security risks for secure Cloud platforms. You will collaborate with various technology, security, and architecture teams to build reusable patterns for downstream consumption. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 15 years of industry experience with a minimum of 10 years in a relevant IT & Cyber Infrastructure leadership role. - Profound knowledge of enterprise IT platforms, including cloud services, Networking & firewall, Cryptography, Active Directory, and Microsoft platforms. - Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance methodologies with experience in managing Testing/audit lifecycle stages. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and convey technical scenarios in plain English. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve common objectives and lead delivery with a matrix team. - Proficiency in building technical Data Analytic scripts and critical thinking to balance business and technical viewpoints. Additionally, valued skills may include: - Certification such as CEH or CISSP, or similar security qualifications in AWS or Azure cloud platforms. - Background in software engineering with experience in modern development tools and processes. - Experience in developer education, enablement, or technical advocacy, including hosting technical workshops, hackathons, or meetups. In this role, you will partner with the bank to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls framework by: - Conducting ad-hoc assessments and testing on control processes. - Developing detailed test plans to identify weaknesses in internal controls. - Communicating key findings to stakeholders and proposing corrective actions. - Collaborating with other control professionals to ensure consistent testing methodologies. As a Vice President, you are expected to contribute to setting strategy, driving requirements, and making recommendations for change. You will also manage resources, budgets, and policies, deliver continuous improvements, and escalate policy breaches. Furthermore, you will demonstrate leadership and accountability in managing risks and strengthening controls within your team's scope of work.
