Team Lead - Wordpress Developer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress & PHP Developer – Team Lead to take ownership of the development, maintenance, and quality control of 200+ websites, primarily for dental practices. This role involves overseeing new site implementations, managing ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring fast-performing, bug-free, and mobile-responsive websites. The ideal candidate will also lead a team of developers and collaborate closely with the SEO, Paid Media, and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality website delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of WordPress developers to drive consistent project execution.
• Oversee the end-to-end website lifecycle: from building new websites from scratch to ongoing support and enhancements.
• Manage and maintain 200+ live websites, ensuring optimal uptime, speed, and performance.
• Ensure QA, bug-free delivery, and implementation of scalable and secure web solutions.
• Handle site-wide troubleshooting, including plugin conflicts, theme bugs, and API integration errors.
• Collaborate with SEO, Paid Media, and QA teams to align development with marketing goals and optimization best practices.
• Implement staging-to-live deployment workflows and version control (Git).
• Monitor and improve website performance, mobile responsiveness, and security protocols.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and explore new tools/technologies (including optional platforms like Duda).

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in WordPress CMS, including custom themes, plugins, and post types.
• Advanced PHP & MySQL skills for backend development and customizations.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and responsive frameworks.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Familiarity with performance tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and WebPageTest.
• Understanding of web hosting environments, SSL, CDN, and security best practices.
• Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Prior exposure to Duda is a plus; willingness to learn is expected.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
