Job Description

As a Team Lead in the Travel industry, your role involves providing guidance and support to a team of travel agents or consultants. You will be responsible for ensuring that the team meets targets, delivers exceptional customer service, and follows company policies. - **Team Supervision:** Guide and mentor team members daily, offering support for complex booking issues, client inquiries, and technical problems. - **Performance Monitoring:** Track and report team performance metrics like booking volume, accuracy rates, and customer satisfaction scores. Conduct regular one-on-one sessions and provide feedback. - **Quality Assurance:** Conduct quality checks on travel itineraries, bookings, and customer communications to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. - **Training and Development:** Assist in onboarding new team members, identify training needs for the existing team, and conduct refresher training on new systems, policies, or industry updates. - **Operational Support:** Handle escalated client issues and complaints ensuring timely and effective resolution. Act as the primary point of contact for the team and liaise with management. - **Process Improvement:** Identify bottlenecks in the travel process and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. **Qualifications:** - **Experience:** 3+ years in the travel industry with a customer-facing role like a travel consultant or agent. - **Leadership Skills:** Proven ability to motivate a team and provide effective coaching and guidance. - **Technical Proficiency:** Strong working knowledge of Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - **Soft Skills:** Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. - **Education:** A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., hospitality, tourism, business) is often preferred but not always required.
