Role Overview

The Team Lead - Outbound Inside Sales will be responsible for driving revenue through proactive outbound calling, managing a high-performing sales team, and ensuring consistent achievement of targets. This role requires strong leadership, sales acumen, and the ability to motivate and mentor a team in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of outbound sales executives to achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skill-building workshops.
  • Monitor productivity, call quality, and conversion metrics ensure discipline and adherence to processes.

2. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Plan and allocate leads, ensuring optimal utilization and maximum conversion.
  • Track pipeline progress and drive team towards closures.
  • Identify gaps in sales pitch and implement improvements.
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to set team goals aligned to business objectives.

3. Operational Excellence

  • Ensure all customer interactions are logged in CRM with accuracy.
  • Create daily/weekly reports on performance, conversion rates, and forecasts.
  • Maintain team adherence to SLAs, call quality benchmarks, and compliance guidelines.

4. Training & Development

  • Conduct product training, objection-handling sessions, and refresher programs.
  • Identify underperforming team members and provide structured improvement plans.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Marketing for lead feedback and quality improvements.
  • Work with Product, Operations, and Customer Success teams to relay market inputs.
  • Ensure seamless communication between sales agents and cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA preferred).
  • 3-6 years of total sales experience with at least 1-2 years in team leadership.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and people-management skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in an outbound environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Hands-on experience with CRMs, dialers, and sales tools.
  • High energy, ownership, and a result-driven mindset.
