About the Project

Josh Talks is executing a large-scale healthcare speech data collection project in Telugu. The data will be used to train AI systems aimed at improving healthcare documentation and delivery in India. 

Role Overview

Team Lead

hands-on field role

Key Responsibilities

1. Field & Site Management

• Identify and onboard

  hospitals, PHCs, CHCs, dispensaries, and small doctor clinics

• Coordinate with

  medical NGOs, ANMs, ASHAs, and rural health workers

• Ensure smooth permission and access at healthcare facilities

2. Team & Volunteer Management

• Manage and guide

  field volunteers

• Assign daily targets and monitor progress
• Troubleshoot on-ground challenges in real time

3. Data Collection Oversight

• Ensure recordings are conducted only after

  doctor and patient consent

• Maintain

  non-identifying site documentation

• Ensure recordings meet basic audio quality standards

4. Compliance & Ethics

• Ensure strict adherence to:
• Consent protocols (written or approved verbal consent)
• Patient privacy and confidentiality
• Ethical medical data collection practices

5. Reporting & Coordination

• Share

  daily updates

  on:
• Hours collected
• Sites covered
• Issues faced
• Coordinate with central ops, QC, and tech teams

Who Should Apply

• Based in

  Andhra Pradesh or Telangana

• Fluent in

  spoken Telugu

• Experience in

  field operations, NGO work, healthcare outreach, surveys, or research

• Comfortable interacting with doctors and healthcare staff
• Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
• Willing to travel locally

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Prior experience in healthcare, public health, or community projects
