Job Description

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AP specialist, demonstrating great time management and multitasking skills.
  • Strong People management and functional/ technical expertise in AP.
  • Strong leadership skills in Quality management, compliance, baseline skills management. Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in day-to-day audits
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to mitigate risks and ensure accuracy in AP audits
  • Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies for AP processes to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Take ownership of a specific portfolio within AP processes and manage team operations
  • Perform activities at your own like region-specific Expense audit, Tax region Expense audit & Corporate card reconciliation, Reporting etc. with high quality and timeliness.
  • Continuously searches for improvements in Travel & Expense activities and analysis to automate and simplify.
  • Develops and maintains strong business relationships with regional peers and business operations.
  • Allocates and reviews work of staff and provides training, guidance and mentoring to the team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • Manage the team of 6-9 members with technical support and people & performance management.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Masters Degree in Commerce or equivalent (M.Com. / B.Com. + MBA ) with additional qualification in accounting / finance (

    diploma or certificate

    course)
  • 9 to 11 years of experience in critical accounting and finance functions.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing and leading staff sized minimum of 5-7
  • Experience in

    Computerized Accounting

    systems
  • Proficiency in

    Microsoft Office Suite

    (especially advanced excel skills, e.g. using pivot tables to analyse and report on large volumes of data).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong team and collaboration bias
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions in a positive, non-confrontational manner
  • Flexibility to perform diverse types of job as well as work with different time zones

Desired skills:

  • Experience in using major ERP accounting & Expense software (iExpense Oracle & SAP Concur) , Oracle DocView software packages. Experience in Oracle EBS is a plus.
  • Exposure to international accounting practices (US GAAP and IFRS)
  • Experience in working with global teams and US multinationals; valid Visa to travel to the US a plus.
  • Experience with documenting, standardizing and improving business processes; quality certifications (Six Sigma, ISO) a plus
  • Ability to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for operations
