As a Teacher in our Education department, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your role will involve designing lesson plans, delivering instruction, assessing student progress, and nurturing a supportive classroom atmosphere. You will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that are in line with the curriculum and educational standards. Utilizing various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, integrating technology, multimedia, and hands-on activities to enrich the learning experience, and promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students will be crucial aspects of your job. Establishing clear expectations for behavior and classroom conduct, maintaining discipline, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom culture, and effectively addressing student conflicts and behavioral issues will fall under your domain of classroom management. In terms of assessment and student progress, you will be evaluating student understanding through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback for improvement, and maintaining accurate records of student grades and progress. Communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, collaborating with fellow teachers, staff, and administration, attending meetings, workshops, and training sessions, identifying students in need of additional support, encouraging personal and academic growth, and assisting students with special needs will also be integral components of your role. Qualifications & Skills required for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Masters preferred), state teaching certification or license, strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to inspire and motivate students, and proficiency in classroom technology and digital learning tools. This is a full-time position that typically operates in a school setting, with potential involvement in after-school activities, grading, and lesson preparation at home.
