Job Description


  •  Teach IBDP Psychology (SL and/or HL) to students.

  •  Create and deliver inquiry-based, student-centered lessons that develop critical thinking and psychological understanding.

  •  Mentor students, especially with their Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE) when relevant.

  • Curriculum Planning & Delivery

  •  Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with the IBDP Psychology curriculum.

  • Assessment & Feedback

  •  Design formative and summative assessments consistent with IB assessment practices.

  • Student Support & Mentoring

  •  Support students in writing their Internal Assessments in Psychology.

  •  Help students with Extended Essay work in the field of Psychology, if applicable.

  • Collaboration & Professional Development

  •  Participate in department meetings, curriculum review, and cross-disciplinary planning.

  •  Engage in professional development opportunities (IB workshops, peer coaching).

  • School Community Engagement

  •  Lead or support extracurricular activities like psychology club, guest lectures, or student workshops.

  • Inclusive Education & Student Well-being

  •  Differentiate instruction to support students with diverse learning needs, in line with the school s inclusive education policy.

  •  Foster a classroom environment that encourages openness, psychological safety, and mutual respect.

  •  Job Responsibilities

     Required Skills/Abilities

  •  Bachelor s degree in Psychology or a closely related discipline; Master s required.

  •  Experience teaching IB Psychology (SL and/or HL) is highly desirable.

  •  Strong understanding of IB philosophy, assessment, and pedagogy.

  •  Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  •  Experience supervising student research or guiding academic writing (IA / EE) is a plus.

  •  Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration.
