Taxation Manager

You will be responsible for ensuring that all direct and indirect tax compliances are met at BIBA Apparels Private Limited. Your key responsibilities will include coordinating with external consultants to ensure timely delivery of Tax Team's deliverables, completing state level assessments, submitting regular returns with accurate data, implementing checks in the ERP system to prevent process breaks, providing regular MIS reports on the tax team's progress, and coordinating with Internal and Statutory Auditors as required. In terms of people management, you will have 2 direct reports and will need to collaborate with other functions and tax consultants to ensure accurate and timely execution of direct and indirect tax compliances. To succeed in this role, essential behavioral competencies include a proactive approach to planning and executing key deliverables, a strong compliance mindset, the ability to anticipate and plan work, attention to detail, and a focus on collaboration and teamwork. In terms of technical competencies, it is essential to have excellent knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, the ability to interpret legal notices and engage with consultants, proficiency in computer skills including ERP and MS Office, and good presentation skills. Commercial and accounting knowledge would be desirable for this role. Your performance will be measured based on no defaults for compliance matters, timely and accurate submission of all returns for direct and indirect tax, and maintaining a regular Compliance Tracker for management and CFO updates.,
