Position Title: Practice Manager Department: Operations / Technical Oversight Reports To: Managing Director / Directors Role Overview: The Practice Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the firm, implementing standardized processes, and providing technical guidance to department heads. This role bridges the gap between the Directors and functional teams, ensuring smooth workflow, compliance, and high-quality client service delivery. Key Responsibilities:Operational & Process Management Design, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Coordinate workflows across tax, audit, MCA, and GST departments. Drive continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Monitor productivity metrics, client deliverables, and staff utilization. Report regularly to Directors on performance, risks, and improvement areas. Technical Guidance & Support Act as the first point of contact for complex technical queries from HODs and teams, reducing direct dependency on Directors. Provide expert guidance on accounting, tax, audit, and compliance matters. Support HODs in training team members on new technical developments. Ensure technical accuracy and compliance of deliverables before final submissions. Technology & Automation Identify, recommend, and implement automation tools, dashboards, and digital solutions. Standardize documentation and ensure proper use of practice management software. People & Coordination Assist HODs in workload management and conflict resolution. Act as a liaison between Directors and departmental teams, ensuring clarity in communication. Mentor and coach staff for technical and professional development. Required Qualifications & Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting/audit/taxation roles, preferably in multiple organizations. Strong technical expertise across taxation, audit, compliance, and accounting standards. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and implement operational improvements. Experience with automation tools, dashboards, and accounting software preferred. Key Skills: Strong technical problem-solving ability. Leadership and people management.
