Job Description

Job Summary: The GST Execu ve will be responsible for managing, reviewing, and ensuring mely filing of GST returns, including GSTR1, GSTR3B, GSTR9, and GSTR9C. The role also involves reconciling GSTR2A/2B, handling GST-related li ga on, ensuring compliance with Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM), and staying updated with the latest GST laws and regula ons. Key Responsibilies: 1. GST Return Filing: o Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GSTR-1 (Outward Supplies). o Prepare and file GSTR-3B (Summary of Outward and Inward Supplies) on a mely basis. o Reconcile and ensure correct repor ng of GSTR-2A/2B with purchase invoices and GST credits. o File Annual GST Returns (GSTR-9) and GSTR-9C (Audit Reconcilia on) as per the legal requirements. 2. GST Reconciliaon: o Review GSTR1, GSTR3B, and GSTR9 for accuracy and completeness. o Reconcile GST credits (GSTR2A/2B) with books of accounts and resolve discrepancies. o Assist in iden fying and resolving mismatches in GST returns. 3. RCM Compliance: o Ensure mely compliance with Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM). o Iden fy and track services and goods subject to RCM. o Ensure the correct accoun ng and repor ng of RCM transac ons in returns. 4. GST Ligaon & Disputes: o Assist in handling GST-related li ga on, including representa on before tax authori es. o Prepare and maintain records related to tax audits and assessments. o Respond to no ces, inquiries, and audits related to GST compliance. o Coordinate with external consultants for li ga on support and resolu on. o Review vendor contracts, purchase/sale transac ons, and ensure proper GST treatment. Key Skills & Qualificaons:  Educaonal Qualificaon: o Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Accoun ng / Finance or related field. o Addi onal qualifica ons such as CA (Inter) or CMA (Inter) preferred.  Experience: o Minimum 2-3 years of experience in GST compliance, tax filings, and reconcilia on. o Hands-on experience in working with GSTR1, GSTR3B, GSTR9, GSTR9C, and RCM provisions.  Technical Skills: o Strong knowledge of GST laws and updates. o Familiarity with Taxpower o Proficient in Microso9 Excel (for GST reconcilia on and repor ng).  Key Competencies: o Strong analy cal and problem-solving skills. o Good communica on skills (wri:en and verbal). o A:en on to detail and accuracy. o Ability to manage me effec vely and priori ze tasks. o Ability to handle pressure and work within deadlines.
