Job Summary

US Tax Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review

  US federal and state tax returns

  for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
• Assist in preparation of

  Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S

  , and related schedules
• Support compliance with

  US GAAP tax provisions

  (ASC 740) where applicable
• Perform

  tax research

  using US tax codes, regulations, and online tax research tools
• Analyze financial statements and supporting schedules for tax purposes
• Coordinate with onshore US tax teams to meet filing deadlines
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Support

  IRS notices

  , audits, and information requests as needed
• Stay updated on changes in US tax laws and regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Accounting, Finance, Commerce

  , or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in

  US taxation

  (public accounting or shared services preferred)
• Strong understanding of

  US federal and state tax concepts

• Experience with US tax preparation software (e.g.,

  CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax

  , or similar)
• Proficiency in

  MS Excel

  and basic financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• CA / CPA (US) / EA / CA-Inter

  qualification or pursuing
• Experience working with

  Big 4 or large accounting firms

• Exposure to

  international tax concepts

  is a plus
