Tax Analyst II

Role Overview: As a Tax Analyst at Invesco, you will be a part of the Corporate Tax Team focused on Direct Tax compliance for the North America region. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams and external advisors to ensure efficient tax activities, compliance with regulations, and high standards of accuracy. You will be responsible for tax compliance and reporting, audit support, tax planning, research, and analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of tax-related financial data and footnotes to ensure compliance with accounting standards such as ASC 740. - Collaborate with onshore tax teams to ensure compliance with local tax regulations and support the development of tax planning strategies. - Prepare accurate and timely corporate tax returns and direct tax reports, specifically in the Canada jurisdiction. - Provide support for internal and external tax audits by collating information, addressing queries, and ensuring audit readiness. - Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations in Canada, evaluating impacts on business operations and transactions. - Possess a strong understanding of USA, Canada tax regulations, international tax accounting principles, and proficiency in tax software, data analytics tools, and ERP systems. - Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a tax role, preferably with a Big-6 or within a GBS environment focused on NA tax compliance. - Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are an added advantage.
